Im seeing a lot of great systems posted here, really inspiring. Im just wondering if anyone knew the dimensions/sizes of the speakers cause i have a Z on order, but i want to have the sound stuff there and ready to install when it arrives (or at least start shopping now)

There's posts about it, but as far as i know, all the speakers are 6 1/2s. The tweeters are in the sail panels in the doors and I believe they're 1". The subwoofer location will hold a 10" but the depth is probably a limitation due to the angle of the mounting bracket, and the sound of the area probably sucks due to the flex of the sheet metal. I would hesitate to use a freeair subwoofer in there, as it may cause resonances in the metal.

If you're considering a subwoofer in that location, you may consider a fiberglass drop-in kind of enclosure, which is something I have thought about, but I can't be sure until I actually have the damn car. =) MDF may work but I believe the thickness of the wood will greatly reduce the airspace you will have to work with to probably no more than .8 cubic feet. Fiberglass would allow a bit more due to the fact you can shape it into the area better.

The fronts need spacers, which you can either make out of MDF or get at Circuit City or Best Buy for probably $20 or less. I do not have my Z yet, so if I were you, I'd double check all this stuff because I might be remembering incorrectly.
