HU EQ Install
OK so I opened up my HU box and I'm realizing now that it doesn't have sub output.
All it has is either a connector for the wiring harness or front and rear RCA outputs.
My EQ, I am also noticing, has just one main input (RCA). And outputs front and rear RCA too.
So that does me no good. How am I supposed to isolate bass to send to the mono amp for the subs?

get a line driver, run the RCA inputs to that to split and amplify them.
Run full range RCA outs of the line driver to both the Main amp and the subwoofer amp .. Allow the subwoofer amp to use its internal XO to filter out the HF content.

can I go HU ->preamp -> line driver -> amp?
If so, would I just hook up the front RCA output to the preamp and then let the preamp split it into front/rear? Whole reason I got this EQ was so I could have some control... it's a Nakamichi HU so the only button's I've got are volume and source. (exaggerating.. but still)

wait! OK I think I'm on to something...
I can hook the front output to the EQ and the rear I can use as a sub out... right? Then the rear will be filtered by the amp's low pass filter anyway.
Hmm... or... I could hook the front to the EQ and let it split it into front and rear and send THAT rear to the sub...
which would work better?

the equalizer makes it tricky...
unless you're competing you can use the 4ch amp's output (if it has one) and send it to the mono amp... the sub amp will filter out the high's and mids and leave the lows to go to the sub...
or you can get a new HU... j/k

my plan is this:
HU:
Fronts --> EQ main input
Rears --> Mono sub amp
EQ:
Fronts --> front input on multi amp
Rears --> rear input on multi amp
that way I can use the eq to tune the mids and highs and use the fader control to adjust the sub.... well and gain controls on the amp ofcoarse.
