Default Found a direct speaker replacement for the BOSE

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-kBiDnOm...asp?i=108607CS

cheaper here, http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?...re=&catid=5767

I am sure you can get them somewhere else cheaper, but guess what, they are 2 ohms, a direct replacement for the Bose. From other forums, I heard they are awesome.

Here is a direct replacement for the rears,

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-2Fk8Nke....asp?i=108627I

cheaper here, http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?...ore=&catid=358

Also got this info from another site, interesting,

This is if you want different ohm speakers,

If you want to keep your Bose Headunit and replace the amp and speakers, you need this:
http://www.pac-audio.com/oem1kits/ao...or+AOEM-1+kits

If you want to change you Bose headunit and keep your stock amp and speakers, you need this:
http://www.pac-audio.com/oem1kits/ro...or+ROEM-1+kits

You cannot change your speakers and keep the stock amp.

You cannot change the stock amp and keep the stock speakers.

You cannot change the headunit without the above adaptor.

I am seriously thinking of swapping my components and rear coaxial out next year when I return from Korea.

Anyone wanna try this and post the outcome of just replacing the speakers?

Hey guy, can you give me a link to a review of these? I'm just curious b/c the bose system is equalized to compensate for the crappy speakers...I'm not sure how good speakers would sound w/that equalization. If it really is good, this is a phenomenal deal...upgrading the bose to quality sound for less than $300!

I have to call BS on this one, as I changed my Bose head unit without that adapter, and it has been working without a single problem for the past 10 months, and yes, I am still running through the factory amp and speakers.

Would it also be possible to replace the Bose sub without replacing the amp(s)?

I think one of the main problems with that sub is the lack of power going to it and that it;s not in a seal box. Am I correct. (I know it;s not the best sub but I think it would sound better if it was installed liek mentioned above)
