Sure do like the Escort cordless. Clean setup and portable. Don't need no stinkin' cords or wires, man!

escort themselves say the cordless doesn't perform as well as the wired ones, plus, with a radar detector mount, there are no cords/wires...

My BEL RX65 has been great. No one really talks about the detector, but I think it is better than the X50 and V1 based on my observations.

I thought that the V1 is superior when compared to other brands, oh well.

Pete (Thinks you should wait and collect $700 more for the K-40!)

spend another $100 and get the valentine 1. It has arrows, and it rocks. You can also get the small display box, and hardwire it with a stealth install.

+1. Plus if you feel like you don't need the v1 or need some more cash in future for something else, you can always see it on ebay for a really good price...

The cheap detectors are prone to bogus alerts with much less warning distance. If you buy one... God bless you for funding our schools!

Never had a problem or a ticket with it. Gives me more than enough time to slow down and I can pull it out and use in my other cars very easily. That's what I personally like about it. Just change batteries every couple of months... Of course, there are other detectors with more sensitivity but it's all academics to argue whether one detects at 2 miles while the other only detects at 1.75 miles. Know what i mean, Vern?

I agree, I own the 8500. Best investment ever made. Put it this way, it saved me doing 154 mph. on I20 outside of Tyler Tx. Trust me 8500 all the way. Also, the Z will do every bit of the govner restricted 156 mph!!!!

Love the Z

Most people think what that have is a good deal or the best. If you want more of an unbiased view try http://www.radartest.com/ . I'm on my third Bel and now use the Bell RX65. It works well and talks.
