I have a 03 performance model with factory navigation. I want to upgrade the base stereo with a better one. My question is if I upgrade will it affect the factory nav? I know when I use the nav. the voice mutes the stereo and goes through the speakers. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I had the same dilemma when designing/installing my aftermarket stereo system...I decided that I didn’t care about losing the navi voice, however, so I just left if as-is.

It is possible to retain the factory navigation voice, but I believe this involves installing a separate speaker. Here a like to some more information:
