Component Xovers not in door...
The numerous speaker posts inspired me for new fronts. Thanks guys!
I bought speakers with a brilliantly designed crossover. I was concerned their mesh top wouldn't handle door moisture. CDT's friendly customer service confirmed my fear, "do not mount these in the door unless they are completely sealed". Given they have manual cutoff adjustments, it is best to keep them accessible near the amp. I dread running more wire pairs through the door seal, oh well that's the POA.
Mine are mounted behind the drivers seat. The BA crossovers are huge and would've never fitted in the door anyway, not that I would of put them there in the first place. Here's a pic to give you some idea:
running dual wires into the door of a Z shouldnt be bad if you want to make your life easier, pick up 4 channel sepaker wire that is cobined into one single outter loom, much faster and easier...
the space in the molex plugs should allow 6 pairs even to go through no problem
if you have a door grommit pull through tool watchamacall it, lol it will be eaiser, basicall a screw driver htingly with a tube through it, stick one end into the rubber hose, so the sharp metal end comes out the end, and then push wires through, and grab it at the other end and pull out the tool

If you don't want to showcase the crossovers, you can always burry them under the floor of the glove box behind the passenger seat.
Pull out the plastic tray in there and secure them underneath. That's where mine are and then they are still accessible, yet out of the way.

Great tips! Now I can route the wire without unplugging the connector (16psibrick). Under the glove box would be perfect (BriA5)! Thanks guys, now I am psyched to do this upgrade with less pain.
9 conductor wire?! It's still better than stock's <22 gauge and made from *7* strands! How much did Nissan save on copper?!
