i'm getting ready to install my system (everything besides the subs as i'm waiting for the 8w7's). so here's my list of what we are doing and what i'm purchasing

farenheit 7" lcd
pioneer 6disc dvd changer
pioneer premiere 740mp
pioneer deh7300 eq (15 band parametric eq, digital will take up both din spots on the metra kit)
in the front
jl audio xr 653 CS's with the 4" midrange in customer built fiberglass kick pods and the 6.5's in the door, tweeters will be put in stock location unless we can find a better place for imaging. any suggestions on that?
also jl audio 650 csi's for the rear with the tweets mounted on top of the strut bar cover.
a 300/2 that i already have will be running all the speakers (i could care less about fading ability) and it will be hidden under the passenger compartment. this will be a stealth install as you wont be albe to see anything from the outside until i open it up.

we are also going to dynamat the doors and also spray them down with some kinda sound deadening spray.

in april (or whenver the 8w7's come out) i will be running 2 of them with a 250/1 to power them.

it's going to take a little while to get this done so i wont have pics anytime soon. they are ordering a few things in that i wanted that they didn't have. any audiophiles have any suggestions?

 

Sounds like a nice system. The only things I'd change would be the 250/1. The 8w7's are going to require more power. Go with the 500/1. EQ's are 80's technology (IMHO).....Alot of them I've seen produce too much noise and distortion. I know you want to take up both din spots in your dash but another alternative would be a universal radio pocket to mount underneath your Pioneer deck.

 

the kit already comes with a pocket and i don't care for the look of it like that. a double din is out of the question as most don't have removable faceplates and my car is parked at my work which is pretty vulnerable.

i had the 500/1 before and it was too much on the 12w7. these two 8's with the 500/1 would be just as loud as that 12 and i dont really want that. loudness isn't a factor it's all for sound quality. i apprecaite your input though

anyone else got any ideas or tips?
