ive found a deal on craigslist for an eclipse AVN7000 for 1300. ive asked the person if i can get it installed first before paying him, but he insisted that i pay first, and he will come with me to the installation place.

The price is ridiculously cheap and i subscribe to the, "if its too good too be true, then it probably isn't" mentality.

Any opinions on this? Does this sound sketch?

 

How about you meet him somewhere to see if it works... However... To me that price is too good to be true... From an authorized retailer I believe they go for $2399.99 (give or take)...

 

place it on your credit card thru Pay Pal, that way if it doesn't work you can dispute the charge or submit it to Paypal for coverage upto 1000.00. This way you are not out cash.

I don't know about this one, ask if he will do C.O.D . That way you will get your merchandise.. Personally, if he can't meet you half way on this, it must be a scam--possibly stolen.
