Default Power Inveter Vs. PS2 Car Adapter

I am in the mist of placing a PS2 (slim) in my 350Z and was wondering of this PS2 Console Car Adapter has been sucessfully used by anyone on this board. Most people use the power inverter and tap into the back cig lighter, but this adapter might make the big clunky inverter old and useless.

Does the power inverter act like a breaker of any sort or is it just desinged for delivering power? If so, this might work!

Thanks....Edgar

remember my setup where the power inverter ran under the carpet to the battery. I have my inverter in the compartment behind the passenger seat.

I am trying to avoid placing a bulky inverter ($40-$60) when I can use this thing-a'ma-gig and get a nice clean connection to the PS2. I guess its worth a try for .99 cents.....Have my order placed for a 7" screen, headunit, component speakers, JL audio amps, '03 cubby and PS2 console. Time to start ripping out my interior.
