I think most people go the route of purchasing an '03 cubby....think there's something that doesn't work because of the '05 opening

Try looking at the Modifications section...you will find a world of info!

click here: https://my350z.com/forum/audio-builds/129715-farenheit-installation.html

Buy a '03 cubby amd save yourself time and effort. The '03 cubby is the only one I know that you can fit a 7" Farenheit screen almost perfectly!

I felt the same way....Waiting for my 7" screen and the install will be on its way!

Purchased Items:

Pioneer headunit
Boston Acoustics 6.5 Components and Coaxials
JL Audio Sub
JL Audio Amps
7" Farenheit Screen
03' Z Cubby
Slim Playstation 2

Making custom Ipod connections, sub box, tweeter mounts, and glassing/bondo'ng the center console for a nice smooth painted surface!

Thanks for the input gents...I did do a search but didn't find what I wanted. I would prefer not to buy the '03 cubby and that's why I am trying to find out what will fit in my '05 cubby.

I believe it is the way the door shuts. The 03's have different hinges that allow for more clearance than the later models.
