Help...Electronics Issue!!!!
I need some major help.
My Problem:
When i turn off my z the stereo does not shut off. This is the case for both my stock stereo and my aftermarket stereo, i have made the switch to test. The problem started before i even did anything to the audio setup in the car anyways. I have brought it into the dealership 2x and they keep telling me that they dont know what it is, or that they did not "experience" the problem...which is obviousl bull sh*t. And i have had to pay them for this fantastic advice. The outcome of this is, dead battery.
Can anyone out there advise?
I can't stand to see my car as a brick for one more day.
Thanks,
erick

There are two power wires running to your radio, a constant 12vdc source (for memory) and a switched 12vdc source (to turn it on and off). It sounds like your switched source is shorted to a constant source. Remove the radio and measure the voltage on the 'switced' wire with the car off. If it reads 12vdc then trace it back to wherever its getting 12vdc from.

1 wire goes to constant power(battery) then the other wire goes to accessory ....or wire it into your fuse box to something that turns off when the key is turned off like the lighter, in our car isnt constant but a lot of cars are.
