Default Back-up Camera Experts Please Chime in.......

I already installed my back-up camera on the Z but after installation I realized that my camera is not in Reverse View. The camera was not a reverse camera but it was perfect in terms of size.(1/3'') I tried to see if my AVIC-D1 could switch it but I guess it can't. Do you guys know of anyway (such as a module) that could reverse the image before it goes to the radio or if the radio could switch it for me?

ooo thast trippy...

most of todays back up cameras already has reverse image built in...this is why you should use a reverse camera isntead of just a normal camera...

there is no way to modify it to make it auto reverse, so basically you have to do something at the headunit level...i wll check to see if hte d1 can swtich reverse or not...and get back to you, if it indeed CANNOT, then i am sorry, but you are out of luck...

i mean, you can get an lcd visor, like ht eone i sell, that can be set to auto swtiching reverse image so it works, but not sure if its something you want to deal wtih

good luck

Normal camera's scan left to right, top to bottom - just like we read books. A reverse scan camera runs right to left, top to bottom.

You can buy these cameras for less than $40 on e-bay.

Are you running the reverse camera to an aux monitor or the D1's?

I bought the audiovox bullet style camera, I ordered the wrong camera by accident. Hopefully they can do an exchange for me if I tell them what happened. I've had the camera for like two months now it's just the image is reversed (backwards) so if something is on my right it appears on the left of my screen. It throws me off a little. I was hoping there was a quick fix. Hopefully, they could help me out at audiovox. Thanks for the help. But if one of you guys find some kind of a module let me know.
