installed this in my 04 z today, but the trim ring doesnt want to fit on the bottom portion? i used the factory braces. is there a trick on these braces or modifying ya'll did to have the trim ring fit? please help.

 

The trim ring that comes with the radio is the wrong size fo rthe Z. You will need to buy the Metra install kit. The only piece you will use from the install kit is the trim ring that comes with it.
