I remember seeing a thread about this awhile back and I believe their is a adapter you can use (but I am not sure). Maybe someone will chime in with the name of the company that makes the adapter because I would like to get one also for my pathfinder.

why the hell would would you want to put in an aftermarket radio, the car is an o6 it should still be under warranty. Just take it back down there and have them fix it. Otherwise don't mess with it, if it isn't broken.

Don't mind UBER, no one else does. If you use the ignore list you cannot even see what he types except when people quote him.

Thanks for the info by the way.

Hey man I volunteer with the Special Olympics. I don't think UBER is good enough to be grouped in with the mentally challenged/Physically disabled people I work with.

if ya buy one and have it installed at an authorized dealer they should be able to tell ya what you need and what to buy to keep your controls.

The answer to your questions is yes. PAC is the company that makes the adaptors. The most universal is the SWI-X, but there are specific models for some radio brands. Go to www.pac-audio.com, that will answer which one you need.

PAC makes specific adaptors for various brands of head units. Your installer simply used a SWI-ALP which is made for Alpine and told you he had a custom one made. I hope he did not charge you extra.

Im afraid we dont get PAC over the pond, so they had to make do with a little box of tricks, there was no programming either just wired it into the loom for the Audio controls and off it went,

Cost me £50 !
