Default Installing a Harman Kardon drive+play system in an 06 Z- compatibility questions

Hi guys,

my 06 Z doesnt have an aux on the outside of the head unit; i want to get this drive+play installed but i dont want to use the FM transmitter option- anyone know if i can install it straight to the system using the pins in the back of the headset?

or any other way?

i dont want these dudes to mess with my car unlessi have an idea of what needs to be done;

There are two methods that will allow you to hook this up to your car.

1) Standard FM modulation ... pick a frequency and tune to it ... no wires to plug into the back of the Head Unit at all.

2) Run the FM Mod Plug Adapter to the back of the head unit. Now, depending on how new your D+P is ... you may or may not have this piece. Check your box and see if it is included. Basically this piece just drops in line with your factory antenna and is a VERY efficient FM modulator ... as it is now part of your antenna.

Yes,

The SQ wil be quite good. The dynamic range of the H/K sytems FM modulator is top notch. If hooked up #2, you'll be happy with it for sure.

No problem. Glad you like the D+P ... it is by far the ebst iPod setup out there I think
