Default That Bose Head unit really suxx

I originally planned my install around keeping everything stock/stealth. I used line out convertors behind the factory Bose head unit to send RCA's to a couple line drivers (front and rear). I thought the sound was really flat, and lacked alot of dynamics. So, I put up with it for a week, and couldn't take anymore.

My latest undertaking was to totally eliminate all parts of the Bose system, all the way down the the head unit. So much for the stock look.

I used a Pioneer Premier DEH-P840MP head unit, and 12 disc changer as a replacement. All I can say is WOW! The difference is night and day, and probably 5,000 times better. Clear highs, and awesome lows with alot of headroom, high s/n ratio, and ALOT of volume. The system sounds so much better now, and has more bass, WITHOUT my JL 10W6 sub installed. I am using JL AUdio XR650-Csi seperates up front, that absolutely ROCK. They image extremely well, and are crystal clear, even in the factory locations. I am so happy now, and it makes me want to drive my baby even more !

Now, all I need to do is find a custom sub enclosure for the left rear of hte hatch, or build my own...and my system will be complete. I have some pics now, but they are not the greatest, and I am waiting for everything to be finished before I post anything...

Default Yeah...but.

The new deck looks so much cooler anyways, so I am very happy, even though its not stock.

Yes, thats the one...it operates in 2 modes, open faced with an entertainment mode and graphics displaying, and closed with only the clock or cd track # displaying...it looks simple until the face comes down. Its quite an impressive head unit...
