I plan to wire up my Apexi Rev/Speed meter tomorrow and in the instructions it states I need to locate the Engine RPM wire and the IG Power wire.

Anyone know where I can locate these wires?

Also, what exactly is the "IG Power" wire? Is that IGNITION Power?

That orange box has the RPM wire running to it - white color code with light gray rings (NOT STIPES!) in the center connector.

Don't know what in IG is ... ignition is my guess but then I can spell.

 

Do you happen to know where I can locate a Speed Input wire?

If the speed input wire is at the ECU, which wire is over there that I can tap into for the RPM input?

The reason why I ask is I want to run the harness for my Apexi unit to one location where I can tap into both wires at once instead of extending wire back and forth under the dash (from the HVAC unit to ECU, etc.)

speed input wire is on that white box with the RPM running to it also

I dont know the wire code but I think it is the blue and white wire.

Found the wire, just took a little digging on the forums:

It was a white wire, #26

 

Also Paul, I think I became confused because you have an 05 and I have an 03. The wire colors and pinout's differ. Check the attached pinout from my 03 service manual.

I don't even have a pin #20 on the center plug

On the 03 it is pinout #26 and the wire is a solid white wire with a pink band on it
