time for me to check on 10W3's mounting depth

hrm.. 5.75".. too deep.. a 10W1 wouldn't go very far with my 500/1 amp

Nice work dude. If it were me I would pick a sub of your choice (one you believe works best for this enclosure) and make an attractive package price.

What about rattles?

This will save me alot of labor in making a box to fit back there.

This is a great idea to have the sub firing down rather than the OEM style. Wonder how it will sound???

Thanx for all the compliments.

As you may or may not know, The shop that sprays these for us uses industrial grade fiberglass and the strength of this stuff is greater then what you would find in any store. The resin gets sprayed out of a industrial chop gun and there are upsolutely no air pockets or such. This is the same stuff they use for Architectural grade load bearing columns and building materials. End result is very sturdy usualy between 1/8" and 1/4" thick walls.

As per pricing we are still negotiating with the fiberglass shop. We are trying to stay right around our rear corner enclosure pricing. We will offer it with or without a Sub. There will be a special buy in at a special price for all the members. Pricing should fall in between $329.95-$369.95 each side. And we propably will offer a discount for buying it for both sides. As well as buying it with a sub.

Those of you who have a bigger amp, Just get both sides...

And like someone else suggested, There are many other subs that will fit.

That's what I want to put in, but according to the ID website:

Sealed enclosure recommendation (varies depending on d2 or d4 setup)
ID10 .4 - .8cuft
IDQ10 .3 -.7cuft

1.0cuft seems perfect for their 12" driver.... but are both 10" and 12" boxes going to be available? Having a choice would be pretty cool!

IDQ10 will be fine. You still have a 10% + or - allowance in there. Remember you still have to deduct for Magnet and speaker structure.

hopefully since it's a smaller product and does not need any finishing at all that you can bring the price down to a nicer level...

300 would be too much for me for something I'll never see... i'd sooner buy the corner pods in that case... just my 2 cents...

nice job by the way..

will the factory bars that drop down need to be removed or are they incorporated into the design.

thanks

we will do our best for pricing. I doubt they will be lower then 300 level though. These will be very impressive once in the vehicle. Nice part is you don't see anything and it is totally stealth.

NOT TO MENTION PRETTY MUCH THE ONLY CHOICE FOR THOSE CONVERTIBLE OWNERS.

The bar in the back can stay in tact. The little ***** sticking out of the box will stay in there like the stock pockets.

As long as mounting depth is less then 5.34" and needs less then 1.0 Cu Ft.

Send me the specs if you like at wickedcas@aol.com

Wow. someone who has jumped off the JL bandwagon. Nice to see someone who KNOWS good audio when he hears it. I've bought JL for over 10 years. Ever since the new stuff came out and they did away with the old W6...they have gone down hill IMO. Haven't heard the new W1 (they always sounded good), but I'll stick with Image Dynamics or the like from now on. My ID8s pound with such clarity, its unreal. And they're 4 X cheaper than my W6v2s I had in my last car.

yep -the last JL I bought was a W6 (about 10 years ago or so) for my 280ZX...that's the last JL sub I liked.

I'm looking into the ID ones as well
