Default Can Anyone get the Alpine KCA-100BT?

Can Anyone get the Alpine KCA-100BT? According to Alpine's web page, they release this unit in March of 2006. Does anyone have connections to a dealer that can get one asap? Possibly in the Bay Area? I am sure I'm not the only one wanting one of these things.

Also, does anyone know if the caller ID scrolls across the head unit's display or does it just mute your music for you and allow you to connnect to who ever is calling? It seems like that would make the most sence for a "hands free" blue tooth kit. I don't know about you guys, but when baby mama or the inlaws call, I dont answer. Please tell me you dont have to pull your phone out of your pocket just to see who is calling. Alpine would be my hero if they linked the caller ID to the deck via the Blue Tooth technology. Im too lazy to pull my phone out just to see who is calling. Anyone know?

I will bet anything that the caller's info is displayed on the HU. Do some research.

I have done quite a bit of research and can't find anything where it mentions this. Not even the Alpine page answers this question. I guess I could call Alpine direct, but thats too easy. LOL.

I have been told that that caller id information will not be displayed on the unit itself. You will have to check your phone to see who is calling. That came from Techicnal support

Damn Damn Damn, send Alpine back to the drawing board. I would discontinue this product before it even hit the shelves because of that. I am one lazy *****, and I'm fat to boot. Lifting one cheek out of those tight bucket seats just to get my phone out of my pocket is a 1000 calorie Richard Simmons style work out for me.

ALPINE.......Just make it easier for us Fat People to answer the phone. Damnit!

I just looked at the manual for the KCA-100BT from alpines web site. I think im going to pass on getting it. It doesnt do caller ID or anything on the head unit. Plus with my set-up id have to get another devise to run it and my changer. Ill stick with my Motoral 1000. I may get there KCA-620M USB unit instead

What a load of crap. With the technology in this product and the fact that it already communicates with the deck, how hard would it be to have a little digital reader scroll across the screen saying "Mom Home." How hard would that really be? Good grief, next thing you know, Alpine will discontinue this one and come out with the KCA-100BT2. Then I will have to buy that one too. C'mon, fat people dont like to lift one cheek off the seat to pull their phone out of their pockets. Help a fatty out.

What a crock! I've been excited about the BT integration and it looks like they have done a poor job. Shame on alpine.

I've been looking at an IVA-w200 and the BT module as well as the blackbird for nav (I need a portable unit I can move to another car).

All of the reviews on the blackbird are really, really bad. Whats up with alpine lately?!
