Stereo upgrade pics ... finally !
Here's a few pictures of my Touring stereo upgrade...
Yes, I too, am one of the very dissatisfied owners of the Bose stereo in the Touring model. The car rocks, but the Bose stereo suxx. Needless to say...not anymore !
Anyways, here is some of my custom work I completed.
The amp rack consists of 2 amps (1 4 channel and 1 2 channel):
Phoenix Gold Tantrum 400.4 (50x4) -- This amp drives my front JL Audio XR650-Csi seperates and my rear JL Audio VR650-CXi coaxs.
Phoenix Gold Titanium ZX600ti (600x1) -- Lots of clean power and built-in low pass level control. This amp will drive my JL Audio 10W6 sub (Dual 6 ohm coils wired in parallel). The enclosure will be a custom fiberglass housing 1 JL10W6 and located behind the left rear wheel well. I will be doing this myself, or having one done by Paul (via zland's group buy).
Rack specs:
Custom rack built from 5/8" mdf carpetted with black acoustic carpet, and custom fit to be flush with the front of the factory sub location. The entire area was deadened with FATMAT (Dynamat Extreme knock-off).
