I just installed my second aftermarket radio in my 2004.5 Nissan 350z without Bose system, and the sound from the rear speakers is hardly there at all. I put in a AVIC-D2 with a Farenheit screen. If I move the balance to the rear speakers the sound is there its just very very low. Almost like it doesn't have enough power. Is there an amp for the rear speakers on the non Bose system.
Also the video on the Farenheit screen is blury and poor. Any ideas on that?

Did you replace the rear speakers to lower ohm efficient ones (base OEM is 320hms)? The blury screen maybe be due to bad cables, ground or power cable crosstalk. Creating clean video in a car is expensive and IMHO not worth the effort.

The OEM rear speakers are 32 ohms. I believe that Nissan did this in a sorry attempt to set up a better "front stage".
You need to replace the OEM rear speakers with roughly 4 ohm speakers in order to get them to put out the same amount of sound as the front. This will cause your stage to shift to the rear as the speakers are DIRECTLY behind your head, but you will have more volume. If you find this too annoying, then fade to the front as much as you need for your taste.
