anyone know of any good DVD players? not the flip out, all i need is a unit that will play DVDs...i already have a head unit? what do you guys have in yours?

if your headunit has an aux input, why not put a ps2 in there. it can play DVDs and games. just a thought.

If your screen doesn't have an auxillary input, how will you plug a dvd player into it? Wouldn't a PS2 have the same connectors as a regular dvd player? Mine is just connected using RCA cables. Does your head unit have an auxillary input, so it'll send the video signal from whatever you connect to it to the monitor? If you don't have an input on either the monitor or the head unit, I think you're going to need to get a new head unit.

 

yeah...i bought an aftermarket Audoivox navigation system about 1 yr ago and now i want to hook up a DVD player to it but i guess i cant, i guess i should just but another screen...got any in mind?

 

Nope, I don't have any ideas. I am actually looking for a new monitor also. I am upgrading my dvd/monitor to something a little newer and more versatile. I currently have a 6.5" motorized flip up monitor/control center (Alpine CVA-1005) and in dash dvd (Alpine DVA-5205), but I think I'm going to go with the new Alpine DVA-9861 dvd player, with a screen in the stock nav location. I just don't know which screen to get. That's what I've been researching lately too.

 

i just bought a farenheit 7" screen. price was great, $130 on Ebay and it came very fast. haven't tried it out yet (this weekend), but i've heard good things about it, considering the price.

 

If price isn't that really an option for you, I'd recommend Soundstream. I bought a Touchscreen DVD set. It has two aux. The screen is Touch and the DVD unit fits perfect in our lil cubby behind the seats that open and close. I assume they make a newer version that might support nav? Mine was 1100 2yrs ago.
