question about sub

I have one 500/1 amp for my sub already. Now, if i want to add another sub, is that mean i need to add another 500/1 amp? what about if i have 1000/1 amp, can i hook up 2 subs to that amp?

the do you NEED part depends on wha timpedance your current sub is..

the do you should part depends on whcih sub it is and how much wattage it wants

If you sub is called 2ohms, you need a new amp.

If it is called 4ohms, you probably don't ... but the extra power(headroom) can't hurt you.

im guessing your talking about a jl amp. if so, the jl amps run the same wattage for ohm loads between 1.5 & 4. you should run both subs of the one amp.
