I don't believe breaking the foam into smaller pieces is the preferred way to uncover the amp. I'd hate to see how you change the oil...

There was no need to break apart that foam...it slides right out, but it is is there for sound dampening, and to make the hatch quiter. I removed that same the foam block from my Z, and Dynamatted the crap out of the wheel wells, and am building a custom fiberglass enclosure for the left rear wheel well in that area.

Do you want to buy my unbroken foam piece ?

By the way, the plastic panels on the Z are alot more fragile than that foam piece, and if you are going to do any stereo work on your ride, you may want to consider picking up a factory service manual (FSM), it tells you exactly how to remove panels, even the foam piece, WITHOUT busting it into 3 pieces...

FSM naw... i throughouly enjoyed breaking that outta my trunk. Couldnt wait to get rid of that crap bose system.
