Default replacement speakers

Just bought a new Z and am disappointed with the speakers. I would like to replace the stock 6.5 inch speakers in back with no modifications.Any advice on the install and speaker selection.I have the Bose system.

Actually of the seven speakers in the Bose system the rear speakers are two of the better ones. The tweeters are also fine. The subwoofer and front door speakers are really bad and they are responsible for a whole lot more sound than the rear ones. The rear speakers are better than the door ones IMHO.

Any 6.5" speaker will fit into the rear area - you've got plenty of depth back there. The worst you'll have to do is drill four more mounting holes and connect the new speakers' terminal wires to the factory ones.

I say go with the FOCAL 165V1's very good sound quality and not a bad price.

I've decided to change the door speakers based on what my message responses said.Do the speaker grills pop off or is it more involved?

To replace the front speakers you have to remove the door panel.
You can 6.5 speakers with some modifications (the front speaker is a mix of speakers and spacer all in one).
I cut the original speaker out and screwed the new speakers into what was left of the bracket. Within the next week I will be installing my fiberglass speaker pods I got from wickedcas and replacing the Phoenix gold speakers with CDT Audio 6.5's.
If your not into butchering your front speaks as I did you will have to buy spacers with the new speakers so you have some kind of mounting depth.
