uh Just wire your head unit into the stock wiring and it should work...

the tweeter splits off in the door.

The front door and tweeter speakers are wired in parallel inside the door.

On a non-bose the tweeter uses the same connection as the door speaker, but seperates inside the door panel. The tweeter uses a small crossover circuit to remove the bass. There will be no seperate tweeter speaker line into the headunit.

Do you have a wiring kit? If your not using one now I would recomend you acquire one (unless you have already murdered your stock wiring harness). Using the wiring harness inteded for the vehicle, it will give you all the right wire colors, purple, green, grey and white for the speakers.

If you ran new wire to the door speakers than your tweeters should still work if you did not disconnect the stock tweeter wires. Pull the door panel off to verify they are still connected all the way to the door gromet.

if you are trying to just splice in and keep the stock tweeter this will not work. you have to cut the stockers and use the same wire they were using or jsut run the tweets of an external amp. same with any system w/inline crossovers not just blose

This is your problem...you need to splice (like the user above mentioned) the new 16 gauge wire and tap into the small tweeter harness inside your door panels. Otherwise you are just suppling power to the door speaker and not the tweeter.

fawq, ok then but if i amp the one line to the door and then put it into the the input tweeter in the crossover will it be too much power for the tweeters?

well what i orginally wanted to do is use my amp to power 4 of my speakers and the tweeters would be powered by the headunit

All you needed to do is disconnect the door speakers leaving the tweeters connected and running a wire from the amp to the door speakers, thus powering the bigger speakers with the amp and allowing the headunit to power the tweeters.. This will probably not work if using a stock HU since you will need the speaker wires to connect an rca plug, but will def work if using an aftermarket HU.

It sounds like you’re running into a wiring mismatch with the tweeter input. Stock tweeters often have built-in crossovers or rely on the factory system’s crossover setup to filter high frequencies, so connecting them directly to a head unit might bypass this. If the factory harness isn’t giving you a signal, double-check the wiring diagram for your car to ensure you’re connecting the correct wires. It might also help to test the continuity of the stock wires to confirm they’re not damaged.
