I wanted to share my experience with installing my 6.5 Boston Acoustics component speakers. As many you know, component speakers come with crossovers and after searching the boards most install these in the car and running new wires to the door. Well, I tried it and its a PITA to run wires through the factory harness into the door....What did I do....I found a perfect spot on the door for the x-over. Just wanted to start a thread for all the new installers out there looking for info.

I stuck them on with 3M double sided tape and best of all NO obstruction with the door panel!

 

Oh yea...Boston Acoustics tweeters fit nicely in the stock location, no cutting or drilling. I will be taking the out and placing them in the A-pillar later, but this will do for now.




The acoustics are awesome when playing movies, super clear and define!

yea...playing with some electronics! Notice the night picture of the center dash.....custom dash is under construction, no looking! By the way, I got my hands on a $15 full dash so I wont need yours unless you want to give it to me!
