::EDIT:: Question? Why Do People Feel Like They Need To Capitalize Every Word? Makes it a little harder to read bro.

John, will the part numbers you have be for the cubby and motorized door lid and all the parts except for the "brains?"

ok little bit of bad news part# 68250-CD070 is no longer available. it is superceeded by 2 other part numbers the last of which is CD07A i believe it was. and a considerable increase in price as well. i can get that part number with motor ect (everything but the brain circutry) for 213 dollars.. big differance of the 78 i could get the CD070 at...

if anyone is still interested let me know....alot to dish out to experiment with so i doubt there will be alot of interest

What all is included for the $213? Is the cubby and the motor everything needed? I don't own a Z, so I'm not 100% what all is needed.

For ~$200 I would be interested in buying one and building a module to control the door, if there is interest in 1. reselling the cubby when I'm done with it and 2. there is significant interest in a reasonably priced, commerically availible motor controller.

Hey John, after looking over the part numbers, I belive that the number you have is for the 2006 Nav door. Check and re-check when you get back to work that the part number you have is for the 04-05 nav door. The 03 nav door is different than the 04-05 nav door. It should still be ~$80 or so.

I'm curious, do you just want to use the 04 cubby for the motorized aspect of the door? Everyone always says to just use the 03 cubby cause it's easier, but I would love to see how your setup turns out. GOOD LUCK!

I'm trying to work on a solution with my own chip since KP Technologies doesn't seem to be working on the subject too diligently. I will post IF I can make any head way.

The cost involved in buying the parts (~$400) just to test things out was too high considering the small amount of interest in a finished product.

If I can help out in any way let me know, but most likely we won't be mass producing anything for this.

I had a feeling that's what was going to happen. I want this thing for my OWN car.

KP - Willing to help on the code side? I started doing assembly about 3 months ago. I'm a newb. I'll admit it.

Hey guys,

Ran across this thread today. I have an '06 with the non-Bose sound system and no nav. I installed the '04 Nav Door with motor. The circuit I built doesn't look as nice as the other guys but it does work except it doesn't auto close the door when you turn off the car. I got kinda lazy and will probably make the change in Rev. B. If there is a lot of people willing to buy this, then maybe I should try making more than just my prototype unit.

just bought an '06 cubby hole for $150.00 from a local guy here in s.fla. brand new ....what a steal...now I need a switch to make it go up and down. I'll be taking it to work tomorrow, to see if the avionics guys can do some type digital relay or something to make it work. I hope they come out with something...Acree if you get to make some I'll take one off your hands....just in case
