Default Pioneer gps/brake safety bypass

I hope this isnt old news. Today I installed the pioneer double din nav/dvd combo. I installed it just like your suppose to. I heard there was a trick to bypassing the safety on the deck, but this was the first time I had tried it, and it worked. First with the car off release the e-brake. Then cut on your lights. Next turn on the ignition. As soon as the screen comes on cut the lights off. Works like a champ. Hope this helps someone.

The pioneer works off of gps so when it sees the car moving it shuts down dvd, and other functions.

So you actually have to put it into the installer's mode to bypass the auto-off function.

$25 piece allows you to watch DVDs, etc. while the car is in motion.

Just picked one up for my AVIC-Z1!
