It's bad. Dynomat your trunk, back of license plate, top part of hatch and the brake light in the hatch window. That'll cover it.

NOt very bad at all honestly. Install, tune and test your system .. then solve the problem of rattling if it arrises.

Why take apart a factory-tight fitting rear area only to put it back together to possibly have it rattle.

Jim (likes to solve problems only when necessary, and is cheap)

This is not a bad idea but based on what he'll be pushing, two 10's, it's probably safe to say it'll rattle. Then again, everyone has their own definition of rattle. I like absolutely zero rattle. I associate rattle with ghettoness. Others may be more tolerant of it though.

Save yourself some time and set your crossover below 80Hz (more like 50Hz) ... use some low distortion woofers and keep those nasty harmonics from exciting those panel resonances that everyone is complaining about

Sorry guys ... but I ran 2 12" subs with no dynamat or deadener in my trunk and never had an issue at all.

But then we wouldn't be able to hear the tunes in all those "Whitesnake" albums.

LOL ... Whitesnake

I prefer Great White myself ... sometimes I dip into some of Saigon Kick's "Love is on the Way"

uhh not really, the plate only rattles when it's bumping really hard. And im not too concerned about what others think about my system. It's usually way better than what they have and i never bump it really hard anyways, im not into having everyone on the block listen to my music.

I barely have any rattle. And this is what I have in my trunk.

I double stick tape my licence plate down and it is all good.
And my Veilside wing doesnt move at all.
