Hi, I Need advice on 8500X50/ZR3 combo use
Had that combo installed last week. First time using radar.
If I’m “tagged” from the rear, and the officer sees me hit the brakes, he should then know that I have radar and that I was speeding no? Will he still come after me and site me and “assume” a speed that is over the limit on the ticket he writes?
Also, should I put the X50 on “city” or “ auto”? The manual says auto is best, but it chirps all the time.
Last question; I live in SoCal, are those visibleZR3 sensors targets for the cops, especially the rear license plate one? Has anyone been cited just for having one installed?
Any advice guys?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts

I use the 8500 and I keep the X band turned completely off, X bands are primarally used for automatic doors ect. in various stores. I don't believe it's been a radar band for many, many years, thats why escort has that option on there detector. This will cut down on most false alarms. Mine is set on city-noX.
