Default HELP: head unit fried?

like the title says my head unit turns off as soon as i turn it on i was installing my system i heard a pop noise when i put the negative wire back on the battery where i grounded the headunit at first it played for like 1 minute and now it doesn't even turn off for half a second

this install has been nothing but trouble
-missing parts
-mom who used my garage as a storage room
