Default is there any way?

hey guys , is there any way, where i could wire my ipod in the navigation box to the radio?

im thinking of making my own custom docking station for the ipod depending on the dimensions of the nav cubby. i have a video ipod and this adapter that will allow me to control the ipod with the buttons on steering wheels and on bose system.

is there a way that i can wire it from the nav cubby to the bose radio? just wondering..please suggest thanx!

i have tried to find this in the search but to no avail

yeah you need to go buy the alpine vehicle hub. then get the ipod adapter cable.

the vehicle hub wires into your factory radio...

Default No that i know off!

Hey I don't think there is a "Out of the box" Solution to do that. You could Mod the Nav Box. (Like many people have done to place an LCD screen) to place an IPOD Dock (also depend on what Ipod version you got) and use the IPOD cable from mp3yourcar.com to connected to the radio.

However in my opinion this doesn't look good at all. I recommended placing the Ipod in the between seats compartiment. Look cleaner and way easier to access.

Good luck!

ya im thinkin that if i could see some1's ipod dock who has in the Z nav cubby, then i'll know how it looks,

cuz i thought it would look clean if i can get it custom made where i can put the adapter and video ipod there and close it with nav cubby door.

get the idea? i can draw up and scan it and post soon if u want me to.

Default Got it!

Yes, I Picture it, but for my test it won't look any good, Don't get me wrong, You know if you think you like it go for it. It could be a good idea. in my very personal opinion (without any disrespect) I think if you going to hide it anyway (closing the nav door) it will better in some other place like the glove compartment or the between the seats.

I was thinking of taking the change tray out from between the seats and putting a dock in there. I think if you cut away the bottom half of the change tray you can still have the lid to the tray open and close to hide the doc when its not in use. Im not sure if that was a clear description or not.
What do you guys think of the idea?

Easy, you only cut off the bottom of the change tray the total thickness of a standard dock so when the dock and the tray are both in it fits perfect. Then you run all the wires under the center console to the deck.

I'm not saying I have tried that plan yet, but in my head it sounds like it would work. Probably some bugs to work out of it thou...
