Default Capacitor recommendation for JL 500/1

Guys,

I'm installing a set of 2 JL 10W6v2 with the JL 500/1 Amp. Does anyone have a capacitor recommendation for this amp?

Thanks

i say yo dont need it to be honest...you can awlays do it and leave room for a cap on the side, if you notice dimming go for it, if not, then money saves.

1 farad will be fine for it if you need it...

i always viewed caps as a bandaid solution...i find that cars i ahve done either dont really need them, or the problem is bad enough that a cap will just add to the problem

I have a 500/1 and two 10W6's in a ported box and no cap needed. With 500 watts you won't need a cap.

They will not be under power, This Amp have Rated Power: 500 W RMS @ 1.5 ohm - 4 ohm (11V-14.5V). The Subs can hadell 500W Optimal.

perrogrande:
So you have no notice any dimming or issues with the CAP? at all?

I was thinking to do what 16psibrick said, Just wait until is installed and see.

Thanks guys.

No dimming when it was in my Jeep, no dimming now in my Z. Running a 300/4 and a 500/1 no problemo. I haven't upgraded my battery to a yellow top either...everything electrical is stock ATM.

Let me tell you, two 10s in a ported box is way too much for a Z. I might put my 10W7 in there instead hahaha
