Default PAC AAI-NIS2 Aux Input Snd Quality Issue

Just a heads up - I've not been real impressed with the sound quality of the AAI-NIS2 Aux Input adapter. I'm not sure exactly where the problem is (either the HU or the adapter itself) but the bottom line is that there is very subtle signal degradation. I'm probably more demanding than most people, but those of you who are sensitive about audio quality are going to notice. The HU itself is dead quiet and when playing CD's or listening to the Sirius feed sounds fantastic (using AudioControl LC6 LOC). Thinking it was just my iPod, I dragged my pioneer elite DVD player out and hooked it up to see how it sounded and the signal degredation was plainly evident.

Also, when I power down the ignition, I'm getting a quick burst of noise. Its very sporadic, but I'm trying to determine if its only the aux input that makes the noise or if the CD/Sat radio mode does it as well.

As soon as the dash kit comes out I'm quite sure I'm going to be upgrading to an aftermarket head.

me and you seem to be the only ones that find the sound quality not up to par. I dunno what to do, I bought the Clarion NICE navigation, the voice sounds for the navi is tolerable but for the mp3's it distorts really bad.

Default sound

i have the same set up but the sound on my bose system is great even better i hooked up my laptop to it using a anew sound card from creative and the ipod also sound great. make sure your wires are not touching any metal. this might cause some static;also make sure what evere add on your using the volume is not at 100% because sometimes that will or might blow your speakers if i turn my ipod volume to 100% and my system to 100% the sound is to loud and not clear. drop it down to 80 or 90% should sound perfct then
