HELP! V1 install
I had my valentine 1 hardwired today into the rear view mirror wires. Now the service engine light is on! Do i need to reset the ecu or did something go wrong with the install? Did this happen to anybody else? Thanks for any help. I did try and search for the answer, but could not find it.

Go to your local auto store/friendly neighborhood shop and ask them to read the code for you. I don't think it's possible to throw a SES light doing what you described. Afterall...it is a Service ENGINE Soon light...

That(re-program stereo) means he disconnected the battery before performing any work, always a good thing. I can't think of anything that could have thrown a SES light under these circumstances. Try the TS ECU reset(it's a bit tricky and you have to be very precise with your timing...always takes me a few times to get it right). The light will go off, if it comes back on it means there is an actual problem that needs correcting.
