It's great for people who can't read a map or who can't see outside their cars! I've been using GPS for about five years now and have never not been able to find the building once sitting at the address!

WAY too busy looking. Keep it simple and accurate and that's all you need

Yes, the Japanese build neat cars and electronics. When they fly though it is primarily in US built intercontinental jet aircraft. Boeing sells them 747s at about 160 million a pop. Helps the trade balance.
Nav seems to be bigger in Europe and Japan, US users seem to prefer more horsepower or more room. US Interstate very large, Japanese highways crowded and not so large.

forget the "3D" mapping, but damn if that dual view screen isn't hot! passenger being able to watch a movie and the driver still seeing the map view... when can we get THAT kinda technology?

you can get that technology at your nearest 25cent machine with those cool hologram stickers.

This was discussed here just a few months ago. The technology might be available for certain sections of a few US cities in a few years.
