I am putting a carpc in my car soon with a xenarc 7' touch screen and I want to put in a reverse camera. I think i am just going to go with the license plate one. However my question is, when i start my car and my computer is booting, am I just going to be able to switch to my camera automatically even when my computer is not booted, and then when i put it back in drive, have it go back to the booting screens or by then, my front end? It goes through the xenarc as a different input, thats why i think it can be done, i am just wondering about it switching back when im done reversing?

 

Good question, I'm about to do the same thing....my avic does it now (automatically switches when in reverse), but there is a wire connected to the reverse light--the new dynamix screen I have has a seperate rca for the reverse cam also

Just checked the dynamix, it has a wire you connect to the reverse signal wire

 

hey that should work i have the lilliput in my car runing to a laptop and when i have the laptop off i hhave a wire runing to the i pod and its runing to the screen video input #1 and once i change to vga input it goes to my laptop screen i use the wireless remote to change screens i do have some pics posted do search for "carpc done" and mine shoud be there
