My understanding is that you will need the PAC kit to put an Aux into the HU.
The Video iPod should just need the Apple AV Cable for iPod video and iPod photo, although

**taken from Apple Store website**

iPod AV Cable
On one end, the iPod AV Cable connects to the headphone port of the iPod or the line-out port on the iPod Universal Dock. On the other end, it connects to the left/right stereo input jacks on a stereo, powered speakers or TV and the composite video input on a TV or monitor.

***

So that may not work if you're interested in using the Video onto your screen.
You may want to have a look around for more information on getting the iPod into the car.

I would add that as long as you have explained what you want and this guy is an ICE fitter then I can't see what the problem will be, you are paying him money to do a job, if he doesn't do it how you want it....then you need to renegotiate the payment terms.

Does the iPod even offer s-Video outputs?

From my looking around the iPod store last week it appears not. You can buy an adapter if you really have to have s-Video input but since it's based on a composite output from the iPod you're really not gaining much. I've seen these adapters as cheap as $30 (which are crap) and good ones will run into the hundreds of dollars. Composite video is likely what you're stuck at with it's fine color, high resolution, and few artifacts - your source video is likely going to be crappy MPEG compressed stuff. Also an iPod that runs a couple hundred dollars isn't going to have high quality MPEG codecs to begin with.

So in summary you've got highly compressed source matter, a questionable hardware based decoder, on a 7" screen, in a car ... so I wouldn't worry about composite verse S-video!

DesiZ,

For all I know.

1)The Boss HU Does not come with any AUX port.

2) If you want to connect your Ipod you need the PAC part, however I'm not sure if you want just to liten to your music or actually see some Ipod videos on your screen.

3) the PAC Unit will let you connect your ipod using your regular Cable that came with the Ipod. This will let you liten to hte music, and Control you ipod using your HU. (No VIDEOS).

4)the PAC unit have a secondary AUX input where you can connect another Unit like a DVD player or XM/Seruis Radio (Just for sound). so you can liten them using your HU ans speaker.

Now. I think what you want is to be able to liten and "see" your ipod videos on the LCE screen. Unless you are replacing the HU, I don't think there is anything you can do to do that with the boss HU. Tis will become a separe setup using the LCD.

You will need a an adapter like this one
http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL...11.1.1.9.2.0.9
and then connect the Viode to the LCd and the Audio to the Aux of the PAC unit.

Hope it help!
