12 v relay source question
Hey guys do I am installing 2 amps and a fan in the glove box - i am going to use a relay for the turn on lead to turn on the fan and the amps (don't worry im also venting the box). Where should i tap into that 12 volt source and how do I wire it. Can I use the source going to the small light in the glove box? could i use the cigarette lighter source beind passenger seat? I don't need an inline fuse to the relay do i? Thanks!!!

Grab the +12VDC to drive the fan from the huge wires you're running for the amplifiers. This normally a battery source run directly to a large fuse and then though the cabin to the amps.
Use the head end's amplifier turn-on wire to power the relay's coil and take the output voltage and feed it to the amplifiers turn on inputs and the fan. The one on my Pioneer was rated at like 3 or 4 watts which is plenty enough to drive the relay's coil.
