I wasnt putting down your pods just saying it looked like a funny angle if it works even better! As for the plexiglass rods just a idea ive doen in past that looks cool and price not to crazy. Does take a little time to get looking real super clean tho.

Love the kicks, as always they look perfect.

The towel bar works, but I think a custom grill would have integrated better. I'm sure the bar offers some protection, but I would've chosen another method. And....I can appreciate the subs (I'm sure they surprise everyone!) but given their cost, wiring, and the Z has plenty of room for subs, my recommendation would have been a single 10 in the same enclosure. IMHO

Those subs could work magic in s2000/Miata/NSX!

the main issue with grilles is that becuae of the CRAZY excursion (+- 13mm) on these spearks, any grille i can noramlly use will cause the speaker to hit...

i am talking to ED to see if htey can make a grille for it hehe...

well, in terms of pure output, this set up will beat any single 10 that can fit completely under hte strut structure and cause no protrusions

hey brick, i was wondering if two of these would work out/ sound ok on the stock speaker locations at the rear? sincemost would say a good component system up front would eliminate the need for the rear speakers, how bout placing two fo these 6.5 subs back there?

not recommended:

1. these tings are true subs, not 6.5" speakers, meaning they would like to have an eclosure of some sort, at least .2 cub feet, you wont get that in the stock rear speaker location

2. having a low frequency driver that close to your head is a no no

3. they wont fit in there not even close, front or back hehe

I'm going to stretch a "soap-on-a-rope" real tight across the front of the subs to protect them. Anyone can use a towel rod.

Don't really understand the kick pods. You have them point right at your feet. Your stage won't be that good. You should have atleast angled your tweeter up. IF you would have angled both of them up it would have been kick ***, the tweeter is direction, the midbass dosen't matter as much. But clean install looks nice.

lol i think i should post this disclaimer in my sig so that everytime i post an install, i dont have to explain the same things over and over again

"The off-axis kicks in Gs and Zs provide superb imaging, staging height, and overall frequency response. No it doesnt sound like its coming from your feet, no it doesnt sound like speakrse are pointed away from you, yes you can contact hte owner to take a listen if you want to be convinced "

I really like elemental design, and I think those subs in that enclosure would be pretty sweet. For the pricing Bing gives people and the quality of work, I wouldn't doubt any of his installs. I just wish he would relocate to San Diego so he can do my next stage of my setup.
