Default Stock Nav

Can anyone post some pictures of the stock nav?
Why do you think stock nav is better than the aftermarket ones?

Thanks

I think it's all personal preference. Some people have been posting multifunctional nav systems. I like the stock because of the birdseye view. Others have posted they wish they would have got the stock nav maybe just to avoid the aftermarket hassle. Other than cost I think it's all pretty much the same. Stock isn't touch screen though.

If you want to see a picture do a seach for Houston Meet and there are some pictures in one of those posts...the view isn't birdseye though.

I know of no easter eggs. Not sure what you mean by reset. It will allow you to drive from one point to another using a graphical representation of the roads that you are driving on.

The coolest thing about the stock nav is that it does a 3rd person view instead of just the usual top down view. You can choose at what 'altitude' you want the POV to be at and it shows you things accordingly. It's a heck of a lot easier than traditional nav systems, and while I haven't seen a lot of aftermarket navs, Nissan's is the only one I've seen that does it like this. I looked into others before ordering this one, and ordered this because of the 3rd person view. It does some other nifty things like searching for restaurant by food genre (chinese, mexican, etc) and allows you to store quite an address book.

Anywayz, I don't have any pics off hand, but if you haven't found any, PM me and I'll run down and take a couple pics.

I as well like bomexz have heard about the nissan nav being attached to the ecu. The factory setup should allow you to access certain things in the cars computer that you cant with aftermarket navigation systems. Do you guys know of any?

ie. My brothers C32 amg lets him reset certain functions in the car, like disable or enable as well view information on the engine and oil changes... etc

You can look at oil changes and filter changes but you have to change this info yourself.
