Hey guys I just purchased my 06 dash kit and wire harness adaptor. Now I'm stuck with what setup I want. My idea is to have a single headunit replacing the factory (non-bose) headunit. I'm looking at the Alpine DVA-9861 headunit but I also want to put a screen in the cubby where the factory navi is supposed to go, and I want it to be used for navigation and dvd purposes (preferably an alpine screen). Is this doable or do I have to get an all in one setup like the IVA-D310 and leave the cubby compartment empty? Any advice would be helpfull. And I'm not very knowledgable about car audio so please forgive if I'm on the wrong route

 

I am running the DVA-9860 and the Alpine TME-M580 LCD Monitor. There is no problems with running that. You can add on the Alpine nav also if you wanted to go that route. It would go through the screen as well.

Nice setup...thats exactly what I was thinking how my setup should look like. That cleared up a lot of unanswered questions. Just out of curiousity, what are those things underneath your radio in the second din?
