what amp would you guys recommend to power a 12 inch Resonant Engineering XXX subwoofer? im looking for about 1200 watts of power. i was planning on going with the JL Audio 1000/1 but i dont think that it will be strong enough anymore. Any recommendations from the audio guru's on here?

 

If you can still find one used.. a Infinity Beta 300 in bridged mode would give you 1000 rms @ 4ohm. ~1500 rms @ 2ohm. I run those amps to power 2x 12.1's and I can easily bottom them the hell out w/ just 4ohm mode. I picked up my amps for $250-300 a pop. And they've lasted me for years. Just my .02 for a possibly cheaper but sufficient route depending on your subwoofers and what kinda VC combo/mode they are. They were Class D amps.

 

hifonics makes some good amps too for decent price
