Default Apartment complex has a rolling code gate...can I program homelink to it?

Hey guys,

So I live in a gated apartment complex, and I want to program my homelink to work with my opener. But it's a rolling code opener. But I can't find a button on the unit to hook into it. Is there anyway I can do this?

The reason I ask is because my gf works a few exits away and likes to come chill at my place while traffic dies down, but I work later than her, and need it to go in and out. She usually waits for someone else to go in, but yesterday someone stopped her and asked if she lived there and blah blah blah...

Thanks in advance!

Hooman

My garage has rolling codes too, but if you have the opener, it programs it somehow.. Idk, but it works.

If you have the opener to the gate, I believe you just program it per the manual... Should work fine. Worked for me...

If not, you may need to get some assistance from some maintenance personnel to 'activate' the gate and allow you to program it to your homelink. I'm sure if you explain it; they'd be willing to help.

Like I stated originally though; it should be able to take the codes/programming from the original opener device itself.

hmm..ok...thanks for the help. I tried per the instructions and it wasn't working.

Are there different instructions for a rolling code garage door opener?

The instructions I beleive tell you to freeze your home garage code. So I do not think you will be able to use the homelink with you apartment's rolling code garage.

Both my entry gate and my garage door use rolling codes with the homelink. There are specific steps in order to pair the homelink and rolling code opener.

Default Homelink programming

These instructions are for a Liftmaster GD opener with rolling code. Go to the home url to follow the questions and choose a different GD opener company
