Default Stereo install for single din on the bottom?

Stereo instal.. I'm going to be installing my stereo in this weekend and I was wondering if anyone has tried this. On the metra kti fir a single din stereo. Has anyone treid to flip the the kit upside down or so the radio can be on the bottom instead of the top. That way the screen when it is out won't cover have the screen in the cubbie I plan to install later? If not any idaes on how to do that?

I know it's only a few inches lower, but wouldn't the screen be a little too low if you use the bottom din? It might be kinda awkward and if the screen sticks out too far, your 1-3-5 shifting might be compromised.

Unless you're building a show car, why would you want/need 2 screens anyway?

Well I hardly pull the screen out unless I'm on the road for a long time... PLus I also have an Automatic. I sit in way to much morning traffic to shift. But I just don't want the screen to cover up the top screen in the cubbie when its out.

That makes sense. Blocking the cubby would bother me even though I don't use it very often.

My only concern about the cubby on top is heat rises and you don't really want to bake whatever is in the cubby hole IMO.

True but don't these cars come with heat plates over the tranny?
