my misconception about the bose amp
I was under the impression that the amp was for the sub.
But, it looks like all the speaker wires are routed in/out of the sub.
Does that mean it's a 4 channel amp?
It seems that with all the wiring there it would be easier to replace the amp with a better one with speaker level inputs.
Then all you need to run is a power lead capable of driving it.
Maybe even adding an EQ back there might be a possibility?
Does anyone know the specs of the wireing harness?

There are two amps for the Bose stereo. The one in the back of the hatch is the four channel amp, and it does all the stupid AudioPilot compensation stuff. The amp for the sub is mounted right next to the sub itself, and I think it gets it's signal from wires that come from the four channel amp.
