anyone know if if I have a non bose headunit, can i put in the bose one or will that not work? anywhere i can look this info up? thanks

 

Not a direct swap.

I don't have a base system but the Bose system has lots of extra "moving" parts that the base doesn't have and I doubt that Nissan goes though the expense of wiring all cars for the Bose system. You can check yourself by looking under the plastic foam structure under the antenna in the left rear of the trunk. You ought to find a connector for the four channel amplifier. There would be another one behind the driver's seat where the Bose sub-woofer amplifier and speaker would go.

Up front you'll find extra jacks behind the head-end for the microphone and extra line level outputs that run off to the amplifiers and then back to the speaker mounting locations.
