Default Get it from them!

You can upgrade the unit without having to buy a new one. It really is the best one out there. If you really want to get it cheaper. Try ebay

Valentine One also used to sell 'vacation' models for $349. It's kind of an unadvertised special. You just have to call and ask them about it.

Basically, people buy radar detectors for a weekend trip or vacation and return them. They have the same warranty, etc just aren't brand new.

Default EBAY !!!

I just got one on EBay...it's last years model, but the case is the same, but it is 1 revision code back on the software. Apparently, the revision of software running on it has no major difference on the performace (V1.7 vs 1.8), according to techs at Valentine1, but v1.8 has a slight increase in Ka band sensitivity. I paid $325 for everything including ther hardwire kit, and remote/concealed display...it will be arriving any day now...woohoo, another great Ebay find.

When it arrives, I will be hardwiring it to the fuse panel, and attaching the concealed display somewhere around the drivers side gauges. I am looking at install options in this forum now, and I have seen a couple good ideas so far...
