Default Interesting Problem due to no accessory power when Z turned off

Well....I just bought "The Wrap" Steering Wheel Cover & Lock for my Z (and also for my daily driver, Pontiac Grand Prix, when the Z goes into stotage for the winter):

I WAS using the Club, but everybody knows this can be easily defeated by cutting out sections of the wheel. The Wrap covered most of the wheel, has a Big Triangle LED Light that blinks, a piercing alarm, prevents complete rotation of the wheel, and also has 2 remote control units...so it sounds better to me.

Herein lies the problem...The Wrap uses 4 AA Batteries to power the LED lights and alarm, but it also comes with a cord to plug into the adapter of the car in case the batteries run out. BUT, the Z completely powers DOWN all accessories, so I can't use this cord.

Oddly enough, my Grand Prix keeps power to the accessories....Any suggestions on what to do for the Z..or is there nothing I can do?

It's a PITA, but hardwire it to the constant +12V source. You'll have to get to it either from the ignition harness or behind the kick panel at the BCM.

c'mon dude...a MF Turbinator??? WTF are YOU talking about?? The Wrap will probably be a helluva lot better theft deterrent than the Club!

What the F*ck do you use?? And BEFORE you say "WHY didn't you install a Viper Alarm System or whatever"...My Z is LEASED...so I CAN'T do major mods like that!

Follow Dave's advice and rewire the cigarette plug to constant 12vdc, or you could add a 2nd plug that is fed from the main 12vdc feed (don't forget the fuse).

Most Japanese cars don't have constantly hot cigarette outputs, while most American cars do.
